Stem: Decoction of trunk-bark used as an external wash for a febrifuge. Bark is mixed in a decoction with the crushed whole plant of Tonina fluviatilis as an infant fortifier.

Seed: Mixed with rum in an alcoholic extract rubbed on snakebite, contusions and rheumatism.
